Let Joe's carb shop rebuild your vintage master cylinder to like new or better condition.

Go thru the following steps.

1. Completely disassembled and cleaned.

2. Bores are inspected and measured.

3. The exterior is vapor blasted to restore the outside apearance.

4. Main bore is sleaved with stainless steel if excessively pitted or worn.

5. New seals, piston, snap rings, crush washers, Dust boot, and hardware installed (we use new stainless hardware wherever applicable).

6. Steel components replaced with new stainless components or they are stripped and replated.

7. Unit is pressure tested for leaks then drained and cleaned before shipping.

The pricing varies depending on the condition of the master cylinder received. As an example the price to rebuild a KZ1000 or KZ650 rear master cylinder that has a good bore is $155.00. If the bore needs to be sleaved it is an additional $75.00.

I always contact the customer for permission if addition repairs are needed. Other situations such as broken bolts, damaged reservoir, missing parts, Etc.

 

When sending in a master cylinder for rebuild, Always include a note with your name, phone number, vehicle year and model.

I will cover return shipping in the US on completed units only. Cylinders deemed un-salvageable will be shipped back at the customers expense or scraped.
